Add-On Cancellation & Refund Policy
Add-On Cancellation & Refund Policy
Some of our add-ons are limited in availability and may be reserved specifically for your stay. When an add-on is booked, it may no longer be available for another guest. For that reason, refunds depend on the type of add-on and how far in advance the cancellation is made.
Kayak Rentals
Because we have a limited number of kayaks available, your reservation holds that equipment for your selected dates.
- 7 or more days before check-in: 100% refund
- 3–6 days before check-in: 50% refund
- Less than 72 hours before check-in: Non-refundable
Safety comes first. If Lake Huron Cabin Rentals determines that weather or water conditions are unsafe for kayak use, any affected unused kayak rental days will be refunded or credited regardless of the normal cancellation window.
No refund is provided for unused kayak time when conditions are considered safe and the guest chooses not to use the equipment.
Early Check-In & Late Check-Out
Early check-in and late check-out are limited and depend on our cleaning and turnover schedule. Once reserved, that time may no longer be available to another guest.
- 7 or more days before check-in: 100% refund

- Less than 72 hours before check-in: Non-refundable
If Lake Huron Cabin Rentals is unable to provide a purchased early check-in or late check-out, the applicable fee will be fully refunded.
Pet Fees
Pet fees may be canceled for a full refund when you notify us at least 48 hours before check-in that the approved pet will no longer be staying.
Pet fees canceled less than 48 hours before check-in, or after the stay begins, are non-refundable.
Pet policies and cabin restrictions still apply. Only approved pet-friendly cabins may accommodate pets.
Firewood
Firewood purchases are fully refundable if canceled before check-in.
If Lake Huron Cabin Rentals is unable to provide purchased firewood, the charge will also be fully refunded.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Kayak rentals are available for Lake Huron Cabin Rentals guests. Fill out the waiver, choose your cabin and dates, and reserve the equipment for your stay.
Life vest required
A U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device must be worn while on the water.

Lake Huron conditions can change quickly. Please review the safety terms before completing the waiver and using rental equipment.
Who can rent?
Renters must be 18 or older, or have the agreement co-signed by a parent or guardian.
Can I use kayaks in rough weather?
No. Kayaks must not be used in rough water, storms, restricted areas, or unsafe conditions.
A U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFD must be worn at all times while on the water.
Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited during kayak use.
Do not transfer equipment to another person without prior consent.
You are responsible for returned equipment, damage, loss, cleaning issues, and retrieval costs if abandoned or unreturned.
